Privacy Policy

RightWingPolling is a read-only polling dashboard. We do not require user accounts, we do not operate comments or forums, and we do not knowingly collect personal data such as names or email addresses through normal browsing. This policy explains the limited information that may still be processed when you visit, how advertising partners use cookies, and the rights you hold over your data.
Information you provide
The only personal information we receive is what you choose to include when contacting us — typically an email address and the contents of your message. We use it solely to read, verify and respond to your enquiry (for example, checking a reported polling figure against its source) and we never sell, rent or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Automatically collected information
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may process standard technical data needed to deliver pages securely — such as IP addresses, browser type and requested URLs in server logs. This data is used for security, abuse prevention and reliability monitoring only, and is not combined with any identity. We may additionally use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics (for example, counts of page visits) to understand which sections readers find useful and to improve the dashboard. Where analytics is used, it is configured to avoid individual profiling.
Cookies and advertising
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, plus any preferences your browser stores locally. Third-party vendors, including Google as part of Google AdSense, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings page, and you can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's partner-sites policy page. You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; blocking cookies will not break the core dashboard, though embedded third-party content may behave differently.
Data retention
Correspondence sent to us is retained only as long as needed to handle your request and meet any legal record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Server logs rotate automatically on a short cycle.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct or delete personal information you have shared with us, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the Contact page and we will respond without undue delay.
Children's privacy
This site presents general-interest political statistics and is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age applicable in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has contacted us, let us know and we will delete the message promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data — for example, by adding an analytics provider — we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
